Introduction

Surgical department of Hospital Putrajaya is the tertiary referral center for Breast and Endocrine diseases. The department also provide services at a secondary level for general surgical cases with an emphasis on daycare procedures, endoscopic procedures and minimally invasive surgery. Management of obesity is also being offered with intensive multidisciplinary team approach.

The department is run by trained Breast and Endocrine Surgeon.

Facilities and Services

SPECIALIST CLINICS:

• Breast and Endocrine Clinic : Tuesday, Thursday and Friday ( 8 am – 1 pm)
• General Surgical Clinic : Monday and Wednesday ( 8 am – 1 pm)
• Obesity Clinic : Tuesday ( 2 pm – 5 pm)
• Oncology clinic : 4^th Tuesday of the month ( 2 pm – 5 pm)

OPERATIVE SERVICES:

Elective Surgery :

• Tuesday ( 8 am – 5 pm)
• Wednesday (8 am – 5 pm)
• Thursday ( 8 am – 5 pm ) – 2 theatres
• Friday ( 9 am – 5 pm) – 2 theatres

Day Care Surgery :

• Monday ( 8 am – 1 pm)
• Wednesday ( 8 am – 1 pm)

Endoscopic services:

• Diagnostic and therapeutic procedures
• Elective : Monday, Wednesday and Friday
• Emergency : 24 hours   

Inpatient services :24hrs

Emergency services :24hrs
