The Oral & Maxillofacial Surgery department is situated on the ground floor of the hospital and commenced its services on 1^st September, 2001. It is headed by a consultant, dental officers, dental technicians and nursing staffs.

Facilities and Services

Services available related to oral surgery are as follows:-

1. Treatment of oral & maxillofacial injury.
2. Minor oral surgery e.g. surgical removal of impacted teeth/retained roots.
3. Treatment and surgery for patients with special needs / medical problems.
4. Management of patients with oral & maxillofacial pathology and lesions including tumour & temporomandibular joint disorders.
5. Management of dentoalveolar / dentofacial deformities and orthognathic surgeries.
6. Maxillofacial prosthesis, preprosthetic surgery and dental implants.
7. Forensic odontology duties.

Patients who require treatment at the Oral Surgery department will need a referral letter from any nearest government/private dental clinics. Patients are encouraged to contact our department to get an appointment date.

Patient can seek other dental services such as regular dental check-ups, fillings, root canal treatments, scaling, extraction and denture fabrication at the nearest government clinics as listed as below or at private clinics of their choice.
