Pharmacy Services is one of the main components of clinical support service in Putrajaya Hospital. The main focus of Pharmacy Department is to provide quality ambulatory care services, in-patient and effective pharmacy practice through optimal individualized pharmaceutical care to patient. The Pharmacy department is also responsible for procurement of drugs and consumables and plays a vital role in promoting rational, cost-effective drug usage through an efficient delivery system.

The Pharmacy Department is responsible for the following activities:

  1. Dispensing of all pharmaceutical products to in-patients and outpatients.
  2. Patient counselling in the use of drugs
  3. Drug information provision and therapeutic drug monitoring.
  4. Monitoring drug usage, trend and cost effectiveness.
  5. Education & training of pharmacy staff
  6. Management of the procurement and distribution of drugs and other medical/surgical supplies.

Value Added Services (VAS)

Our VAS are one of the Putrajaya Hospital Innovation Project which were created to help ease Putrajaya Hospital patients on collecting the next partial medications supply without no waiting time for medication, at a minimum cost and ensure continuous medication supply provided to patients.

  1. Pharmacy SMS Take N Go service provides appointment systems for patients to collect partial medications at designated counter with 2 parking lots allocated for patients using the service.
  2. Perkhidmatan Ubat Melalui Pos 1 Malaysia (UMP1M) or Pharmacy Home Delivery Service provides delivery on partial medications to patients’ home via Poslaju service.

Drug Information & Enquiries on Medication

Enquiries on medication may be directed to the National Pharmacy Call Centre Toll Free Line 1-800-88-6722 operating 24 hourly. Questions on medication can also be emailed to online services at Know Your Medicine official website
