Dietetic & Food Service

 

Introduction
Vision

Dietetic & Foodservice Department will strive in developing clinical dietetic service, foodservice and health promotion to support patient treatment in accordance with the vision and mission of the hospital and Ministry of Health Malaysia.

Mision

1. Dietetic Service :

To support medical treatment via ‘evidence-based’ clinical dietetic service and health promotion apart from delivering professional dietetic skills in the area of nutrition and dietetics.

2. Foodservice :

To supervise patient’s foodservice management done by outsource organization selected by the Ministry of Health to ensure the nutrient regime, food hygiene and food safety principles are being abided in line with the current technology and services rendered must be of quality.

To execute management system based on policies, circulars and relevant
orders.

Objective
To ensure clinical dietetic service, foodservice and health promotion is being carried out professionally and customer focused.

Dietetic Service
The Dietetic Services will provide medical nutrition therapy using nutrition care process that includes nutrition assessment, nutrition diagnosis, nutrition intervention, nutrition monitoring and evaluation, and documentation.

Service Scope

  1. In-patient
  2. Out-patient in specialist clinic

• All patients must be referred to Dietitian using Dietitian Referral Form.

CLINIC DAY

Monday – Thursday : 8.30 am – 1.00 pm.

Foodservice :

Patients Foodservice Management in Putrajaya Hospital which is the second hospital in Ministry of Health of Malaysia that has been outsourced. The outsourced organization is responsible in providing patient’s food that meets nutrient requirement and abide the food hygiene and food safety principles in line with the current technology. The services rendered must be of quality. All patients in the ward will be served first class food, four times a day.

Dinner

7.00 pm


 

Dietetic & Foodservice Department are responsible in supervising and monitoring all management of food processes involved in the operation and services provide by the outsourced company. Hospital Putrajaya patients Food Services applies Centralized Food Plating Service System in running the service.
