Rehabilitation
Introduction Rehabilitation department is responsible in providing a quality service within allocated resources which maximized independence, minimized impairment and enhance life skills in person with physical, developmental and psychosocial problems. The services, Occupational Therapy & Physiotherapy focusing on preventive, curative and rehabilitative measures.
Facilities and Services 1.Two Assessment/Consultation Rooms - for Occupational & Physiotherapy Consultation 2. Pediatrics Treatment room – Cater for children with developmental problem especially early intervention program and basic skills, fine and gross motor skill. 3. Splinting and Pressure Garment room – a place for orthopaedics and surgical cases that require static or dynamic devices as well as compression garment. 4.Treatment Room – this room is equipped with tools that will help client achieve his or her components of skill such as sensorimotor and cognitive skill. 5.Gymnasium – Cater for child and adult clients with musculoskeletal and neurological disability who required physical and functional evaluations and treatments. 6.Independence Living Room (ILR) – a room equipped with facilities for the client to be trained in the aspects of daily routine such as feeding, hygiene, dressing, mobility, communication, home management as well as engage in the independent living experience. 7. Home visit and evaluation – This service is provided for the client who requires home accessibility and safety precaution. 8.Electrotherapy Treatment Area – Pain management area, where majority of patients with musculoskeletal and neurogenic pain are managed. This area is equipped with electrotherapuetic modalities such as Short Wave Diarthermy unit, Ultra Sound Treatment unit, Laser Therapy unit and Multi-function Low Frequency Current Stimulator unit. 9.Cardiorespiratory Treatment Room – This room is to cater for clients with cardiorespiratory difficulties. The services include cardiorespiratory status assessment, evaluation and treatment. 10. Mechanical Traction Room – a room equipped with one spinal traction unit catering for patients with mechanical problems of the spine. ( Lumbar and Cervical ) 11. “Home Care”- Assessment and Consultation – This multi-disciplinary approach service is to provide for severely disable and critically ill patients supportive treatment which includes home care advise, consultation and education to care givers and family members. 12. Therapy Garden – incorporated with other prescribed activity, Therapy garden afford and press our clients for the desired occupational performance.
