The Main Pharmacy Department is situated on the lower ground floor and is accessed via the Lower ground entrance. The Out patient Pharmacy is situated on the ground floor and is accessed via main entrance. The Pharmacy Department has its own Pharmacy Information System (PIS) which is link to the Hospital Information System (HIS). The system will allow clinician to order medication immediately from any location within the hospital. MAXIMO (Store Management System) had been used in Procurement unit for the management of drug and consumable items to the wards and unit in Hospital Putrajaya. Along with MS ISO 9001:2000 certification, Pharmacy department had also been accredited with 5S certification by Malaysian Productivity Corporation (MPC) on 25th of November 2009. Facilities and Services We provides the following facilities and services :- Outpatient Pharmacy Unit including Specialist Outpatient Clinic (SOC) and pharmacy unit in Emergency & Trauma Department (ED Pharmacy)
Inpatient Pharmacy Unit Medication counseling for inpatient
Clinical Pharmacy Unit To monitor patient medication history and drug review while hospitalized. It is also dedicated to identify any pharmaceutical care issues. Currently, this services available for: Medical Ward
Aseptic Preparation Unit Total Parenteral Nutrition (TPN)- for adults and pediatrics preparation IV Admixture – including eye drops and preparation for acute pain service Cytotoxic Drug Reconstitution (CDR) - to reconstitute chemotherapy drug preparation according to Good Preparation Practice (GPP).
Drug Information Service (DIS)- the services including Adverse Drug Reporting (ADR) Response to any inquiries related to drugs
Pharmacokinetic Analysis/ Therapeutic Drug Monitoring To perform drug analysis and providing recommendation involving narrow therapeutic index drugs and poisoning e.g. antiepileptic drugs and paracetamol poisoning.
SMS Take n Go for partially supplied medication To supply partial medication by appointment ( sms, email or telephone) through dedicated SMS Take n Go counter. At this moment, the counter is opened during office hour.
Drug and Consumable Procurement Unit To procure, store and distributing drugs and consumable items for HPJ use.
Radiopharmaceutical Preparation-Cyclotron Facility This facility was approved by National Pharmaceutical Control Bureau (NPCB) to produce radiopharmaceuticals. The radiopharmaceutical produced is F-18 FDG which was registered with the Ministry of Health on the 29th January under the trade name FDG Putra Injection with the registration number MAL 09011503X. Operation Hours :24 hours Inpatient Pharmacy : Monday- Friday : 8:00 am to 8.00 pm Public Holiday/Weekend : 7:00 am to 5:00 pm Outpatient Pharmacy : Monday- Friday : 7:00 am to 5:00 pm Public Holiday/ Weekend : Close ED Pharmacy : Monday- Friday : 5:00 pm to 7:00 am Public Holiday/ Weekend : 24 hours SMS Take n Go Counter Monday –Friday : 8:00 am to 5:00 pm Public Holiday./Weekend : Close
